5 steps to cure a loss

In the course of our lives, it is normal to face many losses, healing a loss is a lesson that we will all face sooner or later, the problem arises when we refuse to accept that life is a loss, that it is inevitable and that it is a necessary process for our personal growth.

When we suffer great losses, we put all our energy into what we have lost, without seeing the other side of anything important that was present in our lives and that had a special value. To suffer a loss, we had to live an important presence. with which we had the opportunity to share unique moments.

  • Living a significant loss.
  • Such as the death of someone special.
  • A remote love.
  • A friendship that ends.
  • Etc.
  • Leaves us in a state of helplessness.
  • With a great emptiness; we can feel sadness.
  • Anger.
  • Fear and emotional ups and downs.
  • It is a state of mourning in which each person has their own personal process.

Healing a loss is a complex process, because to return to integrity you have to go up and down, as if it were a roller coaster.

When we believe that we are healed, whole and above the situation, we suddenly fall into anguish and despair, moving forward and backward, and that is how we have just healed, feeling the whole process without blocking it.

Each person handles loss in a different way, depending on their own pace and particular form, denial is part of that process and serves to protect us from what we are not prepared to face.

Many people think they are cold and do not understand why they do not perceive their feelings in the face of great losses, these emotions and feelings end up being saved because they involve a lot of pain and appear when we are prepared to endure them and face them head on. It can even take years.

This is common in children and adolescents who are unable to perceive these strong feelings until they become adults and are prepared, that is when everything this loss represents appears to them to face this situation.

No one can tell us how to cure a loss we suffer. As much as we try to look for answers in other people, the healing process of our loss is only within ourselves.

And this process takes our own time, it’s never too slow or too fast; As long as we move forward in our lives and don’t get stuck, we’ll heal our wound.

Assuming that losses are necessary in our world is one of the lessons that give us our own losses. When we try to protect ourselves from further losses, we delve into it and unconsciously cause them.

Because we have suffered losses and through very difficult processes, we may want to protect ourselves from all this, protect ourselves, create a shield to avoid the suffering we have been through before, however, this is not possible, because getting away from what we do not want to lose is a loss in itself.

It is an essential way to cure a loss; we cannot avoid the pain and emotions generated by this loss, when we are ready to face it we will feel the corresponding pain, and as we try to avoid those feelings we drown even more in suffering.

What really matters is not lost, we always take it with us, we live it and we feel it; love transformed us and made us who we are today. That’s why there’s no point in trying to avoid any experience for fear of losing. Because all we get along with is how we feel.
