Bet on your intuition

What is intuition?

Intuition can be defined in several ways: the ability to understand things immediately without using logic, the ability to make quick decisions unconsciously, etc.

  • Every day.
  • Throughout our lives.
  • We make ongoing decisions.
  • Social psychology.
  • Until 10 years ago.
  • Believed that decision-making should be conscious and logical.

To this end, it proposed that long lists be drawn up with the arguments for and against all possible options, in order to make the best decision.

Today, we are already certain that decisions that are made instinctively are valid, even more than some decisions that are made logically and rationally.

Have the courage to do what your heart and intuition say, they already know, in some way, what you really want to become.

-Steve Jobs-

Throughout the day we make decisions intuitively and quickly, without making complex logical or mathematical processes to choose from: to reach a certain destination, you take one certain path instead of another, you buy one magazine instead, etc.

If we rationally analyzed all the decisions we made throughout the day, it would be chaos, we would never get there in time for anything and it would take us hours to decide anything.

Intuition is defined as a feeling or feeling that occurs very quickly in the mind, the reasons why we do not know, but that pushes us to decide and act, so intuition usually manifests itself in emotions and physical sensations.

If we want to make a decision, it’s a good idea to focus on how you feel, the physical impact of that decision or the other.

Do you feel all right, feel uncomfortable, feel happy? How do you feel about each decision when you think about it?

Sometimes it’s good to ignore some of the information we have to decide and use little information to be faster at making effective decisions.

Daniel Kahneman, Nobel Prize in Economics, says in his book Do you think fast, think slowly? That we have two ways of thinking:

? System 1, which is a fast, intuitive and emotional thought

? System 2, which is the slowest, requires more effort and is more rational and logical.

The first provides quick decisions and the second provides conscious decisions, but we often don’t know which of the two systems we’re using to make a decision.

“We experiment with logic, but do we discover through intuition?

-Henri Poincaré-

The right decision-making process does not require us to look at a wide range of options, but to think about what we really need.

Our choices are based on a series of general processes and rules that our brain has learned. We just have to choose the right rule for every moment.

For example, if you look at how we fall in love and think about it rationally, we should make a list of all of us and then calculate the probability that what we want to happen.

Freud argued that: “When we make small decisions, it is always advantageous to analyze the pros and cons. However, for vital issues, such as the choice of partner or profession, the decision must come from the unconscious, from a hidden place. “In the truly important decisions of life, should we let them govern the profound needs of our nature?

The reality is that we fall in love based on our instincts, our intuition.

“At sea, as in love, is it generally better to follow an intuition than to obey a library?

-John R. Hale-

At other times, according to psychologist Gerd Gigerenzer, we make decisions based on what we know, for example, we choose to buy a book because we have been recommended or answered a question with an answer because that answer makes sense to us. .

Therefore, based on the precedents, we can say that we have an intuitive intelligence.

This term was used by Canadian sociologist Malcolm Gladwell, who argues that we have the ability to determine what is most important in a short period of time, and this capability has been called intuitive intelligence.

The problem today is that we receive a lot of information that prevents us from making a quick decision, so we think it’s better not to have many options to make more accurate and effective decisions.

In fact, it’s not about reasoning, it’s about listening to our subconscious and our emotions.

Intuitive intelligence has several brakes, for example

All these brakes need to be overcome to properly develop our intuitive intelligence, so that we can make decisions in less time, more efficiently and with less information.

Intuition is a spiritual faculty that does not explain,

just shows the way. ?
