Life sometimes leads us to tough times, and escaping with a close friend or family member you trust can be extremely healthy, yet it seems like complaining is becoming our favorite pastime.
We complain because it is cold, but also because it is hot, why and why not, to the extent that complaining becomes a habit that we strive to develop, as a personal brand that we put into our existence and that we accompanies through the rest of our days.
If you have medication, why are you complaining? If you don’t have medication, why are you complaining?
(Eastern Proverb)
Complaining will always be easy, but how difficult it is to take responsibility for complaints. Example: If the problem has a solution, simply do what is necessary; if not, as the Eastern proverb suggests, why complain? It doesn’t make sense, there’s no need to worry about something that’s out of our control.
When we walk lightly in life, carrying only what is necessary, it is easier to be happy, because we generate something else that will positively affect the people around us.
When we complain we put ourselves in the position of victims, and the more we play in this role, the more bad we will feel and end up without solving anything, which prevents us from knowing and fully developing our potential.
We usually complain because we feel pain and think there is no solution to our problems. For example, we are not happy with our appearance, we do not have the work that we love so much, we do not have the same car as the neighbor, neither the money nor the resources that we believe we need so much, etc. .
But if we really want to change this cycle, the first thing we have to do is stop thinking too much and, on the other hand, do more. Basically, a lot of what we’d like to have, in fact, doesn’t meet our real needs.
Wouldn’t it be much more valuable to know what my real needs are, you bought a lot of things last year thinking they were essential, have you noticed that they’re not? They may have become decorative or dusty somewhere in your home; so when you’re going to answer that question, you have to do it consciously.
What is my true need? How do complaints help me? Ask yourself the question and think about it.
Perhaps what you want is not the object itself, but the feeling associated with it or the well-being it provides.
It may also be that what you dream of is very difficult to achieve, do not be discouraged. There is nothing impossible to achieve; Simply divide the goal into several steps and reach each one until you reach your goal.
For example: you’re frustrated that you can’t travel the country, maybe you could visit closer cities now. You can plan and do that.
In this way, you will start to solve the problem that generates your complaints and you will also channel your energy to something more productive and fruitful for you.
Stop blaming yourself and give yourself another chance. Start now: Try it for two weeks and you’ll be surprised by the results. Nobody said it was easy, but it would be better for you, so let’s get to work!
