There is a poem by Carlos Drummond de Andrade that says:
“In the middle of the road was a stone. There was a stone in the middle of the road. There was a stone. In the middle of the road there was a stone. “
- Which one of us hasn’t found a stone on the road that made us stumble or even fall? There are those who find not only a stone.
- But rocks in their path.
- No matter the order of events.
- It doesn’t matter how.
- Old you are.
- Whether you’re a man or a woman.
- Rich or poor.
- Beautiful or ugly.
- The fact is that everyone will encounter problems in this life.
- Some bigger.
- Some less.
- But the stone will always exist.
At some point it will seem that the stone makes you stumble and tear you down, but first of all, we have the power to choose, we can choose whether we will prostrate ourselves on the ground eating the dust that others leave, or if we get up, we will shake the dust and move on.
I confess that I stumbled several times as I walked down the street, and several times I fell to the ground, if there’s one thing that’s not easy to do is get up after a fall, what a pity! What are you going to do if you don’t get up, are you going to stand on the floor pretending to pass out?(Do I have a colleague who did this?)
What I mean today is that there will always be stones, there will always be problems, there will always be people who will bring us down, there will always be an unsuspecting person who discourages us and says that we will never be able, and that is precisely when we must decide whether we will prostrate or continue our journey.
No one was forced to stay on the ground, no one was created to crawl and beg crumbs to anyone, don’t be one more who leaves everything halfway, don’t be the one who never manages to finish what he started, don ‘ It will be someone else who gets lost along the way because he has found a stone!Come in, even if you fall, scratch your knee or break your face!Have courage and pass the damn stone!
And as the poet Joo Guimares Rosa said
“Everyone’s way is slippery. But besides, doesn’t it hurt too much?We get up, we go up, we come back!? The flow of life envelops everything, life is like this: it heats and cools, squeezes and then relaxes, calms down and then calms down. What you want from us is courage!?
