Childhood is a privilege of old age. I don’t know why I remember it today more clearly than ever.
Mario Benedetti
Since we were born, we have been internalized and learned about everything that happens around us.
Although no one knows exactly how a newborn baby feels, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t experience various emotions and feelings. Long before verbal language, humans use emotional language, so we can understand what the baby likes and doesn’t like in a few days. And in the same way, the baby understands the feelings and emotions of the people around him.
Since our birth, we have built our inner world from what we have received from the outside world.
Everything we receive from an early age generates certain emotions in us, and these, depending on their impact, will be recorded in our subconscious forever.
Emotions influence us based on their emotional impact, i. e. the degree and type of emotion we feel.
The emotional impact depends on the activation of a part of the brain, the “emotional brain”, and is related to the importance that the emotion has caused in the person, be it an adult, child or baby.
There is a positive emotional impact, that is, those episodes or situations that produce very pleasant sensations, but there will also be other situations that will produce unpleasant sensations, evoke strong emotions and inevitably leave their mark on our brain.
Leaving its mark, the emotion it has marked will give us sensations throughout life, in situations that remind the brain of this unpleasant situation.
Emotional marks are unconscious. Therefore, in most cases, we do not know how to explain why a bad feeling occurs in a certain situation, or why we feel scared or stuck in front of a person or circumstance.
The explanation is very hidden from our conscious minds, however, there are emotionally unpleasant experiences that put us on alert to prevent us from living them again.
It is an automatic activation that produces fear, blockage, insecurity and discomfort, however, the subconscious knows the hidden explanation of all reactions.
In many cases, working therapeutically with the present being and with the consciousness of the person can be enough to strengthen and rebuild aspects of the personality that have been weakened since childhood.
In other cases, it is necessary to use a therapeutic technique to access the subconscious of the person and reconstruct the damage caused by these situations experienced in childhood or years ago, even if this situation is not known.
To do this, among other things, the technique of hypnosis is very effective, because it allows to cure, rebuild and heal, in a state of trance, the pain caused and maintained in the emotional brain.
The most commonly used procedures are
? Gather the inner child to strengthen him and give him the love and affection that may have been lost.
? Rebuilding the situation in which the pain felt
? Visualize yourself with strategies and skills to deal with avoided situations.
? Learn attitudes and skills to overcome and grow.
