Humility is preached, practiced

I don’t like people who preach the importance of recognizing their limitations, but they think they’re better than others, I don’t like people who deploy their virtues either as if there was nothing else in the world.

This false humility exists only in appearance and moves with superiority wherever it goes, causing rejection when we can consciously perceive it.

If you think it’s too big for small things, it might be too small for big things.

To be humble is not to feel inferior to others, to submit or to be abandoned, humble people are not vulnerable simply because they know their limits, accept them and live them in harmony, their virtues are recognized by their actions and not by their words.

However, an arrogant person cannot sleep at night because his negative feelings prevent him from resting. Anger and resentment are a terrible part of his life.

To be humble is not to let go and admit our mistakes, to be ready to learn from them and to have the maturity necessary to correct them, but pride makes us stumble, close the doors and prevent us from moving forward.

“What humility cannot be demanded of me, it is my submission to the arrogance and fearlessness of those who disrespect me. What does humility ask me when I cannot react to affront is to face it with dignity?

-Paulo Freire-

Lack of humility is a characteristic of people who think only of themselves and feel superior or better than others, are envious, and do not appreciate the virtues of others.

Lack of humility causes some conscious or unconscious social rejection; pride begets loneliness. Although subtly, we don’t like selfishness.

Someone who brags too much is very exhausting and faces the self-esteem of others, so the assessment we make of ourselves and the recognition of people is very rewarding.

Humility requires daily training. It is very easy to believe that we are better or more capable than others to do something, to think that our values are better or more correct.

When false humility is a small defect, it takes us a while to realize that we have fallen into this trap; we don’t recognize what exists in us that we somehow think is superior.

It’s easy to believe and admire the simple. We admire a person’s kindness, dignity and qualities. Humility makes us righteous and great, because it helps us understand our limitations and realize what we still need to learn.

The practice of humility is a daily exercise, because it helps us to listen and share silences, to be close and sincere with the people around us, in this way we become better people, managing to touch others with our gestures and smiles.

Humility is the basis of all greatness, because to grow, we must first know that we are small. To be humble, sincere and eliminate everything superficial in our lives, to ensure our emotional well-being?
