Being yourself is much more difficult than it seems, we are continually conditioned by external factors and by the people around us, who prevent us from showing our true self.
From a young age they teach us certain rules so that we can live in society, it is not something negative, but sometimes it prevents us from being ourselves, the rules are necessary, but sometimes we exaggerate and we are no longer authentic.
“Should we dare to be ourselves, as frightening and strange as that?Maybe I seem to be.
-Mary Sarton-
But why is it so hard to be ourselves? The answer is simple: out of fear. Ironically, are we afraid to find out what we really are like?
In fact, we know very little about each other, do we think?I show the world who we really are, while hiding our true “I” under many layers. Of course, it’s scary to find out who we really are! Even without realizing it, we’re the way others want to be, and we change, it scares us, that’s normal!
Many people live a lie in relation to their own ‘I’, while authentic people are much happier. Do you know and understand your truth? You will feel in harmony with yourself, for the first time you will feel balanced and everything will be fine, do you know why you have not yet discovered your true self?
? You’re afraid to admit you’re not perfect
? You’re trying to hide your flaws and weaknesses.
? It is not pleasant to be a vulnerable person.
? It is difficult to take responsibility for mistakes made
? You want to please everyone.
? Being yourself means disturbing others.
These are just a few of the reasons why we avoid getting to know each other better: the fear of not pleasing everyone, the fear of feeling fragile in front of others, the fear of mistaken mistakes.
It is normal to feel all these fears, but do you know what you are missing? You will never be completely happy, you will not feel comfortable with yourself if you do not show your true identity.
“Being yourself in a world that constantly tries to become something else is the greatest achievement. “
-Ralph Waldo Emerson-
It’s a long way, but when you take off your mask, it’ll cost you to go back. We cannot please everyone and pretend to be who we are does not cause much suffering; it’s a waste of time and energy.
Will there be problems, frustrations? All because you want to please everyone, but believe me: it’s impossible. We can’t please everyone and not everyone does. It’s normal, it’s something we have to accept, are you afraid to make mistakes?Mistakes allow us to move forward, improve and learn something new every day.
It eliminates the idea that we should be ashamed of mistakes and weaknesses, because there is nothing further from reality. What about our strengths? Life is a constant learning process; we learn from mistakes and successes.
What we have to do is strengthen our strengths and assume our weaknesses. There’s no one perfect. Those who know each other well know their limits and live happier lives.
“No one should believe it’s perfect and not worry about what isn’t. “
-Bertrand Russell-
Perfection is not found in perfection itself, but in imperfection. We have to accept that we are different and unique. Don’t allow yourself to be someone you are not; be yourself and the world will be very different.
By being yourself, you will attract more friends, joy and happiness. The belief that being authentic takes people away is a lie. Stop believing in false beliefs and release your true “I. “
