Listen to the message your feelings should convey

Emotions control what you think and do. They can create emotional and physical pain if we don’t pay attention to it. The good news is that they can also guide you in choosing what works and what doesn’t in your life.

No matter if you consider yourself a very sensitive and emotional person or more logical and rational, emotions are always there because they are the result of your experiences.

  • They mold us like people.
  • Take advantage of how you feel to improve.
  • Without allowing them to completely dominate you.

“But feelings cannot be ignored, however unfair or unpleasant they may be. “Anne Frank

We were raised to classify what we feel like good or bad. The truth is that every emotion plays an important role in your life.

What if fear didn’t lead you to protect what you love most, where would you be if you weren’t afraid to be more careful?

We confuse destructive or negative expressions with emotion itself

Expressions can hurt you, your friends, and family a lot, but if you block certain feelings, you’ll stagnate for a long time.

Love and fear dominate everything you experience, the rest of the emotions are simply variations of these two.

The emotions that arise from fear are anxiety, aversion, control, sadness, depression, confusion, pain, loneliness, guilt and shame.

Emotions flowing from love include pleasure, happiness, attention, trust, compassion, honesty, and satisfaction.

These are the basic emotions. All others are variations in intensity. For example, anger can be represented as pain when it’s very mild, or even exasperated, when you’re on the edge.

“You have to listen to your head, but let your heart speak. “- Marguerite Yourcenar-

To understand the message your emotions want to convey, you must first know how you feel.

How many times does it come to mind that you don’t really know how you feel, that is, you can’t explain what’s happening to you and why.

To be able to recognize it, you need to spend as much time as necessary, focus attention on how you feel and ask questions about yourself, you can even identify the physical aspects related to your emotions.

Our mind is ready to think unconsciously following certain patterns. Analyze what happens during the day. This will help you be aware of the things you love and hate.

If possible, record these thoughts and the emotions they generate, in a few months it will be easier for you to become aware of how you feel.

“All we are is the result of what we think; Is it based on our thoughts and is it made of our thoughts?-Bouddha-

What are the little things that sadden you, but don’t think they’re that important to you?

Many people go through life minimizing the importance of what is bad for them. We generally believe that in this way we take away their power, when in fact they become more powerful.

Minimizing and ignoring our suffering will make it greater over time

Some of these little ailments accompany you since you were a child, they are emotions that generate problems in adulthood, it will not be possible to move on until you recognize them and really fight them.

We can confuse our emotions because we talk about them in very general terms.

An example is depression. You may be currently experiencing detachment from your loved ones, spiritual loneliness, boredom, or lack of meaning in your life.

If someone asks you, you’re probably just saying you’re depressed, but, as you can see, there are a lot of types and causes, understanding why this feeling attacks you, it’s easier to find a solution.

So try to be concrete and accurate about your emotions, this will help you get to know each other better and connect.

Don’t be afraid of your emotions. Don’t fight them, run away or block.

Receive them, live them and understand them. They’re neither good nor bad, they’re just part of us.

Over time, you’ll find that they dissipate until they disappear on their own when you allow yourself to live and enjoy them.

Just close your eyes and feel them as deeply as possible
