Living in a hurry takes us away from our essence

We are used to living in haste, haste, we try to balance the melodies of stress and anxiety, which in turn feed on the great amount of responsibility and pressure on our shoulders, so what drowns us, the passage of time, arrives without realizing it. All this leads us to disconnect from our “I” from our soul. A disconnection that has a negative impact on ourselves.

We don’t realize that we live on autopilot because it has somehow become our default state. In many situations, we act out of inertia, without thinking too much and without taking advantage of the activity itself. Hours are left in the days, minutes in the hours?and the time of the soul.

  • We move forward with great strength and enthusiasm.
  • Leaving behind our consciousness.
  • We are not afraid of getting lost.
  • Of abandoning our essence: it is more important to arrive than to arrive in a certain way.
  • We live in a constant autopilot that prevents us from focusing on the important thing: ourselves.

If you don’t mind, before we go any further, let’s travel to Africa and find out a story.

“A long time ago, an expeditionary man ventured into Africa’s most inhospitable territories. He was accompanied only by people carrying his belongings. Each had a machete to make its way through the thick vegetation. And I had only one goal in mind: move fast and at all costs.

If they encountered a river, they would cross it as quickly as possible, if a hill appeared in front, they would climb so as not to lose a minute, however suddenly the porters stopped abruptly.

The expedition was surprised, they had just started walking. Then he asked them:

? Why did you stop? Are you still tired? We started recently

One of the porters looked at him and replied:

? No, sir, we’re not married. But we move very fast and as a result we end up surrendering our soul. Should we wait for him to reach us again?

If you go too fast, you’ll leave your soul behind

It is a beautiful African narrative that reflects the danger of falling behind when you want to go too fast or when moving forward becomes the main and only goal, living in a hurry and focusing attention on the goal can save time to travel. The time saved for our senses will be the currency with which we will pay the price of a pre-arrival.

In some situations living in a hurry is also an excuse to ignore the pain that comes from our wounds, we ignore them and we do not care about them, but they are always present and limited, we think that ignoring them will disappear. In many cases, perhaps, but in others, wounds require a different type of care, such as cleaning and one or the other. Differentiating one situation from another is an expression of emotional intelligence.

As much as we ignore our emotional wounds, this attitude does not prevent them from leaving their traces on our brains, in fact we know that we carry all the traumas we have experienced, or that trauma that has caused a significant emotional impact on our hearts. childhood, at adulthood. If we don’t look at it, if we don’t stop to think about what happened to solve the situation, the wounds don’t heal, they’ll still be open.

All the negative experiences that have left a deep neurological imprint on us and will continue to bleed no matter how hard we try to ignore them. In many cases, strength is not clenching our fists and moving on, but studying the cliff and finding a way to build a bridge that allows us to cross it.

We talk about looking into the eyes at sadness to know what it means to us, finding a way to expend the energy emanating from negative emotions without hurting anyone, or giving a moment of respite from anxiety until it returns to its normal state: that frequency that helps us and gives us encouragement rather than consume it.

What happens to our souls when we continue to live in haste and urgency as if nothing had happened? If the precipice is too big, our normal passage will not be enough to leave it behind and we will eventually fall into the void. we have turned the difficulties that we on our own and in a short time would have been able to solve into very serious difficulties for which we will need help and more time.

The situations that push us to the limit are the ones we keep learning, but to get stronger we must look inside ourselves and learn from everything we feel.

Let’s look at our emotions intelligently. Everyone has a message for us, intelligence is in deciphering that message and, for that, our attitude must give an opportunity for that to happen, otherwise we will end up surrounded by emotions that will make us feel strange in ourselves.

We will get lost in this ocean of responsibility, often conceived as a carpet covering a bottomless hole, which hides our problems. Moving forward is important, but even more important not to get lost along the way. pay to look only forward, ignoring the pain of our soul, is time. The same thing that escapes because of the wounds you don’t close and you really need is affection.
