Stop listening to your elf

In our head there is a very negative character, a critic who tells us what we need or not to do and how we should behave, this devil in us, creates pressure, damages our own self-esteem, and although it is quite embarrassing and undesirable, in the end we succumb to his conversation and end up considering his messages.

On the other hand, there is the cricket that speaks, this little voice that encourages us, that tells us that it is possible, that we must go out on the street, that not everything is so dramatic, that life is beautiful.

  • Whether you listen to one or the other depends solely on who we choose to guide our daily life.
  • The reality is that the imp and the talking cricket are the fruit of our own spirit that we ourselves create.
  • Exclusive product of our spirit.
  • We are the only owners of both voices; something very good because then we have the freedom to choose which one to follow without anything or anyone being able to intervene.

We choose our thoughts regardless of the situation we are in. We can take the path of negativism, catastrophism or fear; or choose the path of joy, calm and optimism.

You will recognize the inner devil when, in a certain situation, he begins to whisper phrases in the form of questions involving fear: “What if my wife has a traffic accident because of me?”Exaggerated words and phrases like “unbearable, “terrible,” “how bad am I?”

Is your language so negative that if you believe what you say you will start to feel sad, anxious, angry? Your emotions will no longer be functional: they will not be used to solve the problem before you. However, they will. they serve to push you deeper and keep the devil within speaking more conveniently.

The more ears you listen to, the more weight you will gain; the more weight you gain, the more strength you will have to speak. Also, this little devil is very persuasive. You can convince him very easily because you have been in you for a long time and you know what to say so that, in the end, you choose what he wants.

But why are you so interested in suing me? You are wrong. The truth is, he doesn’t want to chase you. Deep down, this imp wants to protect you, but he is confused, he does not choose the right moment, he is overwhelmed. Their reactions are disproportionate and out of time.

This little devil would have served you in many circumstances in your life. What would we have done without him when, in cave days, the beast would chase us to kill us? In those moments, the imp had to sound an alarm, to help us find that stress so necessary to preserve life.

But the current devil has gone too far, he does not understand that animals no longer roam our streets, and that what he considers animals are not. There is nothing to fear.

The little devil, by the way, has he come to adapt to what humans create? and repeats it every day. So does this cause us a lot of suffering: sadness, pressure, anger? emotions that should not be present with such a need in many moments.

To get to the point where we feel negative but healthy emotions that help us solve problems, we have to start ignoring this critical little voice.

Fortunately, just as we can build the strength of the little devil, we can also educate him so that his messages have an impact that is in tune with the real demands of our own environment. Achieving this means that if a beast appears it will give us a lot of activation for our own survival, and if it does not appear it will remain calm.
