If you’ve ever had a chance to look at the sea, you may have thought it’s one of those places that seems to be everyone’s and, at the same time, no one’s. The sea is this echo of life that is sometimes left to caress and sometimes escapes from our hands.
While you are calm, any good sailor who respects himself feels that he can get carried away, then settles in and contemplates his beauty, there is no danger in this place, only total tranquility.
- However.
- On other occasions.
- The waves hit the rocks hard and the storm shows all their anger against the sea.
- At that moment.
- The sailor who survives is the one who leaves aside his comfort and decides to face those terrible moments that threaten his home.
- Because those who decide to throw themselves into the water should also be prepared to face their anger.
With life on earth something similar happens, since experiences and their teachings reach mainly people able to leave their comfort zone: giving up comfort to face the unknown is certainly an incentive for life.
In fact, we generally think that we are not responsible for what happens to us when in reality what is happening is that we prefer to leave our lives in the hands of what we usually call luck or destiny, it is precisely when we arrive at this routine. we’re starting to feel like we don’t need to change anything and yet we’re wrong.
We make mistakes because by staying in the comfort zone, we miss opportunities to continue meditating and learning, we must believe in the shipwreck to learn to mature with it: to see the teeth of certain winds, to face what appears spontaneously and that causes us to lose. our balance, wanting to go above and beyond to touch with the soul what we have never touched and desired.
The sense of security when reaching balance can be a very large emotional enemy, especially since it also results in a vertigo that causes everything to be lost.
It is therefore obvious that anything that has the objective of directly or indirectly eliminating our structure provokes fear, however, we must not forget that fears are there to be overcome and not to dominate us.
Knowing safety means taking an important step, but daring to investigate the laws of the wreaked sea is an indication of courage: only those who venture into unlimited research can gain experience in every possible situation in their lives.
As we mentioned earlier, not taking risks to make decisions that allow us to discover new things can lead to passivity and downturn, simply because in this way we avoid failure, we also eliminate the possibility of success.
Human beings tend to control and balance in everyday life, thinking that it is the source of the emotional well-being that generates happiness, in this way we forget that psychological growth also requires risks: how are you going to get the job you want?If you don’t risk trying, thinking you won’t make it and standing still will give you control, but not satisfaction.
In this way, do we get used to hearing that a bird in hand is worth a thousand flights? And we believe blindly in him, without realizing that unconsciously, advice like this prompts us to stand still and not fight for what we want.
It turns out that the sailor who knows the bravura of the sea may end up dying, but he also knows that taking on this challenge is the only way to fully enjoy his life and love what’s left of his shipwreck.
