The strength of friendship, the circle of family we chose.

They say friends are the family we chose. I don’t mean to talk about any friendship, but about the strength of Friendship, that’s capitalized. This bond, as strong as little, the result of the opportunity to meet in life. This love that doesn’t hurt or drown, and that knows how to be close even if it’s miles away.

The dictionary defines friendship as “a personal, pure and selfless affection, shared with another person, born and strengthened with affection”. I recognize that this definition surprises me and fascinates me equally. Relationships through blood have been centuries of history as more stable, unconditional and loving relationships, partly neglecting the global importance of friendship.

  • Friends have been a point of support since childhood.
  • They allow us to learn values.
  • Experiment with different roles and discover who we want to be.
  • Help us build our identity.
  • Develop empathy and feel part of a group.

The concept of friendship is personal and, therefore, partly subjective, what we expect from this bond changes over time, experience and circumstances, as we mature we become more selective, we seek more quality than quantity, and we are more aware of reality. characteristics that define a true friendship (or at least the one we want to surround ourselves with).

In addition, friends allow us to discover and develop different facets of ourselves, help us to have good self-esteem and provoke positive emotions that allow greater psychological stability, so we could say that somehow friendship protects us, takes care of us and strengthens us.

Whether it’s because we haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy a true friendship or because we find ourselves in a moment of confusion in life, sometimes it’s hard to distinguish between acquaintances, colleagues, colleagues and friends, they are some of the defining characteristics that define the strength of true friendship.

We can’t find friendship in person. There are many people coming and going, but sometimes, when you least expect it, a spark is ignited and a connection is created: something special, important and lasting, this does not happen very often in life. So, if you have one of these friendships (capitalized), do it, don’t take it for granted. Laugh it with patience, sincerity, care and attention.

Important people mark our lives. So, if you are lucky enough to have such a friendship, you are an infinitely lucky person, you have a magical bond in your hands, something true and unconditional, you have a sister, an uncle for your child or a partner forever. You have a true friendship, in addition to a valuable asset, you have another reason to shine.
