Are the children we want today the adults we want for tomorrow, are we educating them in the best way to lead future generations?
As a society, we cannot and should not avoid looking to the future, and the future will be built by the generations that will come after us. We are talking about people who will carry the weight of large-scale production and decisions over time and are proposing other tasks.
- Therefore.
- It is normal to worry about the education we propose.
- The world is changing and the rules that we are marking for our children as well.
- As well as the toys.
- Interests.
- Concerns or ambitions of children are evolving.
- Education has also tried to evolve.
For example, have we left this motto in the past? The blood letter comes in to eliminate violence in the classroom, yet we did so without giving teachers other checks that would mark their authority and replace the violence of leaders or eardrums?, so that the balance broke and power passed on to the students. Unconscious children, simply because they are children, and very powerful.
Not long ago, while browsing this often parallel and cruel world of the Internet, I came across a photo, it was possible to identify one of the many squares available, it was not particularly beautiful and the frame of the photo was not a masterpiece either. In fact, it seemed like a quick, almost by chance.
The strangest thing about this photo transcends the image itself. There were several “forbidden” posters hanging from the poles. One over the other, the first prohibits playing ball, the second the bicycle and the third prohibits skating, I found it curious that the presence of children in the square was not directly prohibited, if that is the case, they may not have to continue adding bans to the list, it would be more comfortable and also cheaper.
Not long ago I could witness another very curious scene, it was the end of the afternoon. A relaxed father and mother strolled, they took a quiet child in the stroller. Suddenly, because of one of those whims that children have (and that we already had when we were children, even if we do not remember), the son begins to cry, the parents already know a good strategy to calm him down, the father takes the cell phone out of his pocket and the child holds it with his hands, as if in the background he already waited for this attitude , and calms down again.
I thought if the girl had been given a tranquilizer, it would have had the same effect! She would have gone from that state of restlessness to the same passive and disturbing state of her parents’ peace of mind. Children can be adorable, but also very temperamental, restless and with a determination capable of testing the patience of the quietest adult.
Why did I talk about these two situations? Because they face the children we want now and the adults we want for the future. We would like our children to be creative, but school programs reward children who repeat what the teacher says. We want healthy kids, but we get nervous when they do. play in the puddles on a rainy day. We want curious children, but we don’t make any effort to try to answer your questions. The children we want need our efforts.
The problem exists when a child does not plan when he or she is silent and not the other way around. The problem exists when a child does not want to play with their parents and prefers to leave them alone when they return home. The problem exists when a child The child does not look at the enchanted rain and does not want to get wet, in this sense it must be thought that the bad thing is the piece: the tranquilizer, the pill or the slap, there is a problem when we forbid children to play in squares, instead of using this space as an environment to teach them to live with different people with respect. Is there a problem when the neighbor complaining about it never has to take a little longer?
Do children need discipline, limits, but above all our patience and constancy?because for that you have to be the one who thinks and the one who plays, or at least the one who has to play.
