To be grateful

Being grateful is a sign of good manners.

We often forget this popular saying, which has a great truth. There are many problems beyond our control in life, but we can always control how we deal with things.

  • Our mind is bombarded with thousands of bits of information per second.
  • Which is why we need to filter out everything that is not actively sought.

The problem is that, as a rule, our mind tends to see mainly what is wrong and what is missing, more importantly, to avoid danger and ensure our survival, we look for what is out of expectations and that can pose risks.

However, if we get carried away by these negative thoughts, they can begin to dominate our minds and affect our expectations. We start waiting for negative situations and creating the negative in our lives. The end result is a lifetime of frustrating and disappointing experiences and results.

However, we can stop the natural negative tendency of our mind by redirecting ourselves to abundance and what is positively possible, focusing on what we are grateful for.

With this change of vision, your life can change course almost immediately. There can be a revolution in your world and in everything you can create there.

In this way, we feel much better, being grateful even when things are not going so well and conflicts or problems arise.

What is your vision of your own life? Are you able to appreciate the good things you have? The following can stimulate your thinking and help you change the perspective you’ve maintained so far:

Open your eyes to the world. We need to get out of our ‘little closed world’, look out and at others to achieve all the things we have and be grateful for them, unfortunately many people are in a worse situation than you, be aware of this and think about it. Certainly, after the fact, you will be much more grateful for the situation you are in, than you have often complained about.

Think of all the bad things that don’t happen to you, sometimes a small accident happens, which could have been much worse, it’s important that you realize and appreciate that the problem wasn’t more serious.

Beware of the good things that happen to you. We often live life without paying attention to the little good things that happen to us every day, because the more “spectacular” ones are more obvious and attract more attention. However, if you think about it, you will see the amount of good things that are in your life, it is essential to re-educate us to learn to think positive and see all the good that we live every day.

Learn to be grateful by doing. Everything can be learned and the ability to feel gratitude is part of your character that can always be improved if you practice. There are ways to do this, like writing in a “Gratitude Journal” daily, as Martin Seligman recommends. Do you know that the efficacy of gratitude in people’s lives is scientifically proven?

Surround yourself with people with a positive and grateful attitude. Negative and pessimistic attitudes are spreading rapidly, so it is important that those who accompany us in life have an optimistic vision, we can also help others see all that is good in their lives.

He decides not to be the victim. In difficult times, or when you lose someone, it’s very important to be grateful for what you still have and for the opportunities that still arise, it’s not just a matter of focusing solely on what’s considered bad, of looking for the positive in every situation. Be calm and calm to understand that there is always something favorable, even if it takes us some time to discover it.

Being grateful is a quality that we all admire in the character of others, isn’t it?For such an attitude, there is no reason, there is no excuse. No matter how old you are, you will never be too old to try to be positive and appreciate all the wonderful things in you.

Try it, you will discover that you can start, little by little, to be grateful for all the little things that happen to you.
