Intolerance itself is a form of violence, and it has always existed since the dawn of humanity, yet lately we have been bombarded by so many attacks on the freedom to be who we are or who we would like to be.
Why is there so much intolerance towards opinions, choices, beliefs, lifestyles and anything that is different from what we think, love, do or are?
- The death of Dandara do Santos is an assault on the right to be.
- He or she (and what’s the difference ????) was a human being.
- Just like you and me.
I like one thing, you like another, and Dandara would like to be Dandara. Is it offensive to love being yourself?Is the world a mixture of races, cultures and is home to millions of species of living and human beings of all sizes, colors, nationalities, styles and biotypes, and do we always exist with the choices of others, which do not affect us in anyway?
Because? I need to understand why!
Attack a human being, a brother, the son of the same creator, because he decided to be different from what many consider normal?
This wild behavior does not correspond to the evolution and modernization that globalization has brought. Free violence and aggression do not correspond to so many discourses on equal rights, freedom of expression and the right to come!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but my outrage only increases because I know all I can do is be outraged.
I look at the world through my bedroom window and feel like I’m witnessing a horror show where football fans commit suicide, fight and attack those who don’t support the same team because they make the sport’s rivalry a life . . . o -Death event.
If you don’t agree with religious choice, if you don’t support the same football team, if you have a different sexual preference, if you’re bigger or thinner than truth owners, consider this normal, or if your skin has a different color than others, you’re degraded, belittled, humiliated, psychologically and sometimes physically attacked, and you can even lose your life , since rational animals so acclaimed (don’t they call you?) do not accept or tolerate the different !
My hope is that one day we will simply learn to respect the space and the right to free will of others.
