Having a high IQ does not mean being intelligent, you don’t have to go far to discover incredible attitudes of stupidity committed by intelligent, even brilliant people, many tests that measure the IQ capture only one type of intelligence, analytical intelligence. This skill recognizes models and solves analytical problems. The vast majority of IQ tests do not collect data on other aspects of human intelligence: creative and practical intelligence.
Creative intelligence is our ability to deal with new situations, practical intelligence is our ability to do things. In the first 20 years of life, people are rewarded for their analytical intelligence: we have a structured education system to train in this direction.
- For a long time our professional reference was hijacked by rational intelligence and there was a contempt for emotions; it was thought to have a strong negative influence on the performance of any job.
Today emotions have risen to the level of emotional intelligence, now is the time of values, so-called ethical intelligence.
“Only intelligence is evaluated. -Jaime Balmes-
Excessive ego is one of the causes that drives intelligent people to do this, their remarkable results on other occasions have served as a breeding ground for omniscience, omnipotence or invulnerability that prevent them from seeing the real consequences of their actions.
Because it’s so stupid to have an intelligence that generates only acceptable responses to problems or conflicts, as it is to have an attitude that prevents you from choosing an appropriate answer to the problem that arises.
We intelligently produce solutions to any problem. The more intelligence we have, we assume that we create more and better solutions, because we have more perspective, reality of the problem and knowledge of the circumstances that determine it, we cannot forget that we are talking about a global intelligence, characterized by:
To do this, intelligence uses knowledge, skills, attitudes, dexterity, and experience.
“An individual’s intelligence is measured by the amount of uncertainty he is able to withstand. -Immanuel Kant-
People have their intelligence and values, among other resources, to make many of their decisions, so if we don’t develop both, our behavior, derived from decision-making, can be adversely affected. One of the qualities that gives us, a good choice of values and their use is to avoid stupid solutions, to know how to distinguish means and ends, and to understand the consequences that different solutions can engender.
The stupid solutions chosen by many intelligent people were born because they did not analyze the consequences of these actions, when one needs to make a decision in complex or stressful circumstances, he does not know how to analyze what is the best solution, and in a hurry, one chooses what analytical intelligence he sends, without considering the consequences.
We have all had bad behaviors in our lives, to try to control these possible behaviors in the future it is recommended to monitor the behaviors themselves practicing the activation of consciousness at least three times a week. it will become simpler, more understandable and stupid decision-making will be more difficult.
Worthless intelligence loses its ability to resolve; values without intelligence can be mis-applied, so values and intelligence are two complementary pathways that improve our results, making them productive and valuable.
“Stupidity is an extraordinary disease; it is not the patient who suffers it, but the others. -Voltaire-
