Career and career choice often involves a crisis of questioning: do you know what you like, you know what you like to do?
What’s the point of wanting to escape from where you are if you don’t even know where to go?After going through this for years, I can now bring a light that can serve those who are at that time.
- First.
- Traditional education does not value individualities and particularities; it is a massive education.
- Aimed at creating labor against satisfied and self-aware human beings; skills.
- Interests.
- Inclinations.
- Self-knowledge are not respected; secondly.
- Many times already know the answers but not admit them because they will not have the support of others (subject to another text).
Worried and immediate that we are, especially those of my generation, we are panicking. We want the answer as soon as possible, for the time being, the day before yesterday. And then we suffer, we feel powerless, unable to make a decision Let us out of suffering And in this despair, we see even less the answer.
It is not said much today that the great inventors had their brilliant ideas in a time when we did not think, it is not new that many artistic inspirations were born of moments of leisure, relaxation, day by day the current of attention and meditation grows in the West, worshipping the need for these spaces of mental vacuum. And there’s a big reason for this: overloading our mindset with worries and panic drains the energy of the main task of effectively solving the challenge.
So, at first, RELAX. The answers are not covered in a single stroke, cultivate patience, as nature has done, to wait for the time of natural cycles and processes, each being has its own personal and special time, which moves with a very unique clock. , mainly from external sources, cannot shorten the chronology of our internal processes.
Quiet mind, comes the second step: don’t think that sitting under a tree and waiting for an apple to fall on your head (at least most of the time) will bring you the most incredible perception out of nowhere. Mental serenity does not mean morbid passivity. Argument that we need a MOVEMENT STOP: to be patient, but to connect with environments, people and materials that will make you walk towards the answers.
We often know things we love very much, but we don’t exercise those skills and interests enough to be firmly certain that’s what we want, that we have skills, and that we know what the daily routine of work looks like. , we like certain activities but never, for a thousand reasons, have we really been able to carry them out with a degree of dedication, in any of these situations it is essential to contact courses, events, experiences or even conversations with professionals in this field, try to act free (or even free) to validate your suspicions (positive or negative) about the activity, in this way, more materialized and less imagined , enough bodies and concretes are given to realize whether the roads are these or not.
So keep playing: in your free time, get involved with a little of what your heart and intuition say makes sense. Have the courage to immerse yourself in totally new and unknown environments. Along the way, some suspicions will be eliminated, others will be confirmed, others will be transferred. The path is organic and dynamic and will form naturally as you follow the path of interest. And best of all, you realize there are answers you didn’t conclude because you didn’t even know they existed. Today’s diverse and rapidly changing world has a million new jobs, professions and activities that we don’t even know about. How do you get to one of them if you’ve never heard of them? The more you come into contact with environments and topics that involve what you love, the more inside and secure information about it will come to you in one way or another. In the process, you’ll discover a lot about yourself and the world. And go, without always deciding, at least find a reason to put up with the difficult routine of not doing what you love.
At the end of this, it may also be that the light has already come, or perhaps what happened to me: I was also interested in a multitude of things and entered the second crisis: will the answer never happen?Choose?
First, a limiting belief that she had to be repressed: “We must choose and live forever with the choice we make. “
What is the problem of changing course more than once in a lifetime? It is still a widespread belief that the profession and employment we choose are for eternity; influence from previous generations, who had not had many choices because of the circumstances of the time they lived, but it no longer makes sense (unless that stability is severed, which is possible). Maybe without this weight. of a lifetime decision, without the (very large) demand for perfection (we do not value resilience, we preach the culture of rejection of mistakes), we would make more authentic and much lighter decisions. So if you want to be something today and after a while something else, understand that there’s nothing wrong with that, it doesn’t mean failing or giving up.
On the other hand, something that can help clarify what?Of interest is to try to observe the pattern among all the things that make your heart beat, that bring you the flow: what situations, in these various activities that you like, cause a particularly palpable satisfaction? When you identify them, you’ll probably realize what the essential values are for you in a race. This expands the possible roles and professions and makes it less tense to choose something else.
I give my example to illustrate: I am increasingly passionate about writing my poetry and texts, happy to make personalized hand-painted cups, revitalized with the volunteers with which I get involved, motivated by my work organizing personalized trips for others. people, inspired by the courses of democratic education, psychology and healing therapies in which I get involved, every day more confident of the feeling that flows when I sing and compose Moments in which I feel LIVE, belonging and inserted in this world, that I do not see pass the time and that I do not mind being tired or drowsy.
You ask me: what do so many different people have in common? Well, it was not that easy to identify at first, but today, after thinking about it all (I thank my friend Camila for the insight!), I realized: In all these practices, moments? Wow ?, Fullness and Satisfaction, involved 3 things: creative opportunity (create in the broad sense, artistic or not), use my sensitivity and clearly visualize the positive impact that my activity generates in the lives of others. .
In other words: there is a main line in this chaos that seems disconnected (it’s chaordique!). Today I am serene knowing that there is a huge universe of professional and leisure activities, from the simplest to the most complex, that can meet these values, make me feel complete and always bring an economic performance.
Embrace (of course) chaos, immerse yourself in the depths of your passions and extract the answers that have always been within you.
