Youth is a phase of life, it’s a mood

Don’t get tired of repeating: accumulating youth is an art, a gift, it’s the power to take the leaves out of the calendar and capture every day a set of reasons to keep the mind young.

Accumulated youth is what makes you see life in a fiery way, but without haste, oscillating in our preferences and feeling a lack of past skills, while feeling things much more clearly.

  • With age we gain not only a wrinkled face.
  • But also the ability to be strong and resilient.
  • As well as the nobility of those who contemplate day to day and their events with maturity reflected in the smile marks we have accumulated.

Aging and accumulating young people is a great achievement, because it involves learning to safeguard our identity and embrace our defeats with integrity. In turn, accumulating youth means building all the roads and framing the footprints of the land we had bought to build the garden of our castle.

Because what you learn in young people lasts a lifetime, accumulating it means better understanding alternatives to solve our problems, putting yourself in the shoes of others, or being more flexible in adapting to change.

You can’t regret having birthdays, it’s crazy, why ignore that we have a chance to live?

HOW OLD AM I?

I am the age where you see things more calmly, but with the interest of continuing to grow.

Tenho os anos em que os sonhos começam a acariciar com os dedos e as ilusões se convertem em esperança.

I have years when love is sometimes an intense flame, eager to put out in the fire of a desired passion, and other times it is a hangover of peace, like sunset on a beach.

How old am I? I don’t need a number to dial, because my wishes have arrived, the tears I shed along the way when I saw my illusions break?

What does it matter if I’m twenty, forty or sixty?!What matters is my age.

I have the necessary years to live free and without fear. Go without fear of the road, because I take the experience gained and the strength of my desires.

Who cares? I have years to lose my fear and do what I want and feel

-José Saramago-

Youth (accumulated or not) is ageless, but it is a moment that passes very quickly, so we must enjoy it without having to live in a constant challenge.

Over time we learn that tolerance is the best religion and we can’t write our story twice, so we have to think things over before we write them down if we don’t want to cross them out.

The cowardice of not creating our own map ages us more than making mistakes. To think of the present and the past is to accumulate youth and, with it, the life and tranquility of those who know that they have learned.

Thanks to the maturity of accumulated youth, we know that what really makes us family is loyalty and that distance only avoids physical but not psychological embraces.

That is, we learn to appreciate the small details and contemplate our path patiently, because we know that if we accumulate youth, we will accumulate life, so it doesn’t matter if we end up with gray hairs and wrinkles, what really matters is growing every day.
